Celebrada en el Peacock Theatre de Los Ángeles, la fiesta más importante de la industria televisiva arrancó con Disney+ como gran favorita, ya que dos de sus producciones más nominadas llegaron a la entrega arrasando el domingo anterior en los Creative Arts Emmys: allí, Shōgun ganó 14 premios técnicos, rompiendo el récord de 13 que ostentaba la miniserie de HBO John Adams, y The Bear se había alzado con 7 estatuillas por su segunda temporada.
